AV.ROES ZELLIGER

A pilotable installation in which the public takes control of a video game whose content is reconfigured for each exhibition context. Mounted on a motorized system, the simulator connects spatial navigation with intellectual navigation. The piece engages with Ibn Rushd (Averroes) and traces the circulation of his thought between North Africa and the West, layering historical routes, star maps, and conceptual trajectories. References to major science-fiction franchises become a shared visual language to question how popular culture shapes narratives of knowledge. The dashboard, titled Astrolab, serves as the principal instrument. Each iteration adjusts the installation’s ergonomics, scale, and game sequences to embed piloting within the venue’s architecture.
