Hassan al Wazzan’s Oddisey
Hassan al Wazzan’s Oddisey
A series of eight dioramas, each paired with a video game environment. The entirely fictional environments extend the journey of Leo the African in 2500. The diorama format deliberately references collections assembled during the colonial era in Western museums, questioning their representational frameworks. The gaze moves between micro-architectures, speculative landscapes, and recomposed archival fragments. The production of the sculptures is directly linked to the video game’s development: printed forms, models, and digital renders speak to one another to form an evolving corpus, where material experimentation and interactive narration intertwine.
