Désert de Retz II
Désert de Retz II
The project reinterprets the Désert de Retz in light of current events in France. Conceived in 1774 by François Racine de Monville in Chambourcy, the site is known for architectural follies, global botanical specimens, and illustrious visitors. This installation adds a new chapter that echoes the site’s rumors and the political upheavals preceding the fall of the monarchy. Scale models made through 3D printing, resins, and CNC milling are staged within scenographies using LED panels.
