Khadija

Khadija

The Khadija installation explores different temporalities and visitor experiences through a short science fiction film inspired by the artist’s family history and events in the MENA region. The narrative follows Khadija, who fights for her freedom against an authority represented by artificial intelligence. As she emerges from a coma, viewers witness a dystopian society where AI enforces military measures. The installation evolves as new scenes are filmed and broadcast live, culminating in a public screening of the entire short film.
