Leon 2527

An immersive video game in development. The project invites the player to embody Hassan al-Wazzān (Leon the African), projected 1000 years into the future, to explore South–South relations beyond a Eurocentric gaze, bringing geographies, memories, and the circulation of knowledge into resonance. This first prototype unfolds between the city of Agadez (Niger) and the Temple of Philae (Egypt). The game world assembles existing 3D scans of heritage sites with fictional elements, creating episodic environments in which the player activates traces of memory to recontextualize narratives and advance the project’s timeline.
